Paterson Could Derail Development

Submitted by harrietPaterson Could Derail Development, Mar 14, 2008 10:10

It seems that the recent abuse of eminent domain has derailed big projects in New York. Atlantic Yards, Willets Point and West Harlem have been mired in controversy and delays. Spitzer/Bloomberg have used eminent domain as a first resort, and were they not so eager to confiscate private property to give to their friends, maybe they would be more successful in realizing these projects.

I would have to quibble with the article's title "Paterson Could Derail Development." The end of wanton use of eminent domain could speed development.
