Yes, Canadian Idol is a 'cultural fraud', but to lump the Canadian classic 'Trailer Park Boys' into this category is nothing short of laughable! I am unaware of any similar shows, American or foreign - your readers are most likely unaware of the show itself.

The journalist responsible for this fantastical assertion has not done his job - research. At least providing an attempted backing for his claim would be nice.

Clearly sir, you have done nothing beyond taking a scant glance at a Canadian TV Guide in search of a contemporary show. Excellent cut and paste job. As readers, we are no doubt enlightened by your brilliant knowledge of the decline in Canadian originality as evidenced by your thoughtless name-plugging. Good work!
