Council Member Wants U.S. To Pressure China on Tibet

Submitted by Tsoltim N. Shakabpa, Mar 16, 2008 12:50

The situation in Kosovo is already igniting demands for independence for Tibet. Just look at Bjork during her recent concert in Shanghai.

China's present powerful economic status will not last long. She will be racked with inflation problems, as well as demands from the millions of the rural poor for equal opportunities with the urban areas. Just these two problems alone will cause gargantuan problems for her. China's products will become more expensive. Thus shrinking her vast trade surpluses. She will be forced to make more contaminated products which will further affect her sales. And the disparity between the rural and urban areas will give her enormous political problems. Vast population may allow a country to produce cheap products but it also causes economic disparity and political upheavals. As I pointed out below, economic and military power does not last. Only spiritual power lasts. Just look at all the religions of the world. Be they Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Hindu or Moslem, their power is lasting and their voices strong. China has no religion. She is an atheistic country and, therefore, absent of durability.
