Residential Parking Permits May Accompany Congestion Tax
in response to reader comment: and suppose my relatives from Long Island want to come and visit me?

Park and ride has always happened. I do it every day. I drive from one part of Queens to another to take the M train. I've tried other arrangements but alternate side parking keeps me away. If RPP goes into effect many residents will be duped into ridiculous fees and I will have to resort to expensive LIRR tickets and express bus fares in order to not get a parking ticket.

MTA will purchase 309 buses? 354 million in federal money is the cost of an "environmental review" of the bus facility the vehicles will be stored in.

Vote NO to RPP. In order to solve problems it has to be active from 10- 11:30 PM at NIGHT when people park at HOME. Then the fees will serve a purpose.
