To those in this debate who would question my approval of the NSA Wiretapping program by using Bejamin Franklin's famous quote about those who would give up freedom for security deserve niether, I would have to respond with two questions, A.) What "Freedoms" am I giving up? and B.) What about those who would give up certain "liberites" for survival? The real aurgument here is not about Freedom versus security but about Privacy versus Survival. I have nothing to hide, but if there is someone out there, who is plotting to hurt me or my fellow country men, I want our government to know about it and to respond bofore anyone gets hurt, that's what I pay taxes for. Don't get me wrong, I don't fully trust or have a lot of confidence in the government regardless of who is in charge beit Republican or Democrat. The cold reality is this, the Islamic Terrorist are a preditorial enemy. Allthough they do not have the military might to defeat us, they will try to find another way. And being the preditors that they are, like any preditor it finds it's preys weakness and exploits it to thier advantage. They realize that most Americans cherish their freedoms above all else. And it is that very noble quality in each of us they hope to exploit as a weakness because they themselves despise the individual freedom and equal justice that we as Americans Cherish. What do you think that whole fiasco with the Imams at the Minniapolis airport was all about? Do not let them to win by enabeling them to take advatage of our good nature by allowing them to use our noble and enderaing qualities, that is our very love of human liberty and equal Justice, to be our own peril. Thank God For those 17 judges who see it the same way.
