Congestion Pricing Critics Fear Defeat Is Down the Road

Submitted by A. Levy, Mar 24, 2008 15:07

Does anyone truly believe that His Majesty the mayor's latest scam to generate revenue will solve NYC's traffic problems? If you do, then the mayor is right, you're fools! This "massive and selective" tax increase can not redesign the city's streets. It will not make the roads, bridges, and tunnels any wider. It won't even repair the condition of our crumbling roads! (only a competent DOT could do that, and we don't have one)

Have you noticed that everyone's voice is being heard on this matter "except" the people who'll have to pay? Sure, i've seen some of the nitwits from the media "polling" some NY'ers on the street. They somehow always manage to ask well-off people who live on Manhattan's upper east or west side. These brain-less liberals always think things like this are a "great idea", so long as it doesn't cost THEM anything, and this scam won't. His Majesty has seen to that!
