Obama Shapes an Agenda Beyond Iraq War

Submitted by Greg, Dec 27, 2006 22:53

Barrack Obama was brought to my attention by my 20 year old daughter who studies politics, psychology, arts, and computer graphics. She told me about the Senator and I was intrigued. On a recent trip to California, I bought the Senator's book "The AUDACITY of HOPE".

It is a very good read and highlights many of the Senator's thoughts about America, foreign policy, an outline on partisanship, and more things than you can imagine. It is a MUST READ especially if the Senator decides to run for office.

I am going to watch who comes into the race. I will find out as much information as I can about each of them. I will do my homework, I will read the internet daily and find out as much as I can about each of them. I am now 47 and voted Republican from 18 years of age until Ross Perot ran. I voted for Perot and was not surprised that he didn't win. America has become POLARIZED and it is really a SHAME.

I did not vote for Bush ever and never would. I was devistated by the lack of knowledge the American people had when they re-elected him. I almost lost all faith in this country. I guess I would say, the majority of American's must be blind and or just don't care what we are doing. Okay, I am straying..so back on course.

At this point with what I know to be the contenders for the Presidency in 2008, Mr. Barrack Obama has my full backing. I will wait and see, watch and read, investigate and compare. It is only an American who really knows who he or she is voting for that does this country any good. To vote blindly is just that....BLINDNESS.

Read Barrack's book. He is an amazing man and one who I think would do this whole WORLD much good, not just America !!!!

Peace - Greg
