Dying Languages

Submitted by Arthur Dieli, Dec 28, 2006 23:27

Ah me! There is so much wrong with this article it's difficult to know where to begin. Knowledge in one field does not translate, no pun intended, to expertise in another. To suggest that a common language would lead to better communication is shallow thinking. When two people disagree, are they speaking different languages? Don't Democrats and Republicans both speak English? A foreign language may indeed be a barrier but a common language is not its opposite.
