Mr. Hollinger, thank you for writing an article that cuts through Pat Riley's spewage of doubletalk. When I saw the foul I immediately thought "#*&%(&* Posey! Again!". He already took out Kirk with a blindside hip check last year in the playoffs in addition to breaking Tyrus Thomas' nose with an elbow on Opening NIght, not to mention messing Monta Ellis with a hard foul a couple weeks ago.
Also, only a one game suspension? He already got a one game suspension last year in the playoffs, and has committed to more grievous offenses since. The Bulls didn't go crazy. No one punched Posey in the face (even though he richly deserved it). If the NBA wants everyone to show restraint then it has to police a goon like Posey, who has attempted to injure Bulls' players on 3 separate occasions in the last few months!!! Otherwise, what are the Bulls supposed to do? Get a bunch of players suspended for 10 games? Continue taking his abuse?
It's hilarious that a scumbag like Riley (great coach though he may be) who has spent the majority of his career as a master of directing on court thuggery would whine about his Golden Child getting a boo boo after some solid defense. The worst part is that if the Bulls and Heat do play in the playoffs Wade will probably go to the line 150 times a game while Posey tries to decapitate Ben Gordon or somebody. I'm rooting for the Bulls to throw down a few nice, hard (but clean) fouls on Posey next time the Heat come to town.
