Union Square Park is a public space that must be kept that way. More children are being born in this city that lacks adequate outdoor play space. We neighbors have visions that Ms Susan Kramer lacks. We envision far more uses for the space in the Pavilion than we could possibly find space for. Let's start with storytime on a rainy day, a game corner for electronic enthuiasts, Kids videos, a corner with doll furniture, etc. It's endless! The kids will have their own bathroom as part of the playground and the present
toilets in the Pavilion will be renovated for the public saving the cost of constructing an additional bldg. on precious parkland. The figure of $21 million is greatly inflated....let's see an accounting for all that!
