Iraq's Victory

Perhaps the execution of Saddam Hussein will make more Americans as courageous as the Iraq government but I doubt it. If the politicians would read your Editorial and I am sure they do , but are to gutless to stand up and defend it. The old process of put your finger up and see which way the wind is blowing is the criterion now for staying in office come election day. To be something is far more important then to do something. Their is little glory in doing something important and beneficial to humanity and not getting recognition for it. Ninty nine percent of the politicians today would never sacrifice losing their job if it meant making decisons that would be beneficial to the security of our nation but would be the defeat in office of them. Ben Franklin once said something along the lines,"To give up your freedom for security you will get neither."Your article should be mandatory in every history class in America but then that would make it necessary for history teachers and professors to understand it and that is the catch.
