Courts Side With NSA On Wiretaps

Submitted by Kay, Dec 30, 2006 21:17

I think during wartime that it's perfectly reasonable for the government to place wiretapping on those who raise suspicions. Why ignore them and just hope they're not terrorists? That's plain stupid to do at this point in time. Yes, you may violate someone's privacy, but I say, don't do anything to raise suspicion and you have nothng to worry about. Maybe if we had been doing this sooner, who knows? Maybe 911 would never have happened. And who knows how many attacks have already been prevented so far because of this wiretapping that the government hasn't even let us know about? They've probably already thwarted the plans of many terrorists already. And it may serve as a deterrant to terrorists that are coming in now to know it's going to be harder to communcate because their phones may be tapped. I don't know much, but I'm smart enough to know that during wartime, certain rules change.
