All I can think to say is thank you for a beautifully written article. When I heard about Eight Belles on Saturday night, I was glad I didn't watch the Derby, as the loss of any horse always breaks my heart. I truly appreciate the fact that you weren't pointing fingers, or blaming the jockeys, trainers or anyone else. There's been too much of that over the past several days. You've also captured the spirit of the horses. They want to run, even when they're injured.
