Iraq's Victory

The sudden execution of Sadaam Hussein leaves questions unanswered and a deep void in the Iraqi people who needed to continue his trials and force him to answer for his atrocites. But the Malika government wanted a speedy vindication denying the people their democratic right to be vindicated by continuing the judicial process and even ignoring some of their own laws and religious customs to carry out the death sentence immediately. They also got their last impressions of the tyrannt on the gallows conducting himself in a dignified manner while being harranged by his hangmen. What was the upside to rushing the execution? Was this a good example to a fractous people either in or on the brink of a civil war?

Yes you are a minority because most people see very little hope for democracy in Iraq. As to the cost we have over paid dearly and no end in sight.
