Rice is not the only source of energy. There are some other food groups that will supplement its shortage, like beans, corn, etc. And, are we forgetting about the importance of vegetables and fruits? And have we forgotten about proteins? We know that rice is the number one source of "energy"-- but, have we forgotten that too much of it is also bad--especially for diabetics? Rice is a "carbohydrate," when eaten-it turns to starch, and later on turns to "sugar," and later on turns to "fats." Do we really need that much fat in our system? I'll leave it up to you to answer.
