Hezbollah Is Talking on Hostage

General Aoun was exiled for 15 years for standing up to the syrian domination while hariri senior and his buddy jumblatt were firmly entrenched in syria's lap. They opposed Aoun when he testified in the US COngress for the passage of the Syria Accountability and Lebanese Soveriegnty Restoration Act; and accused him of being a zionist when he worked for Un Resolution 1559. They waited till the last minute realising that syria was going to get out in 2005 before jumping ship and apparently becoming "anti syrian" and call themselves "March 14" in refernce to the 1989 when General Aoun declared a war of Liberation against the syrian army and 2005 when 1.5 million people cired freedom at once.

So anti syrian this "march 14" mob were, that they used a syrian written election law that gerrymandered them into a majority in last years election. Their election platform was to protect the weapons of Hizballa and Prime Minister Foad Saniora's Ministerial Pledge upon forming government was to protect and preserve the weapons of Hizballa. One week later "march 14" backflipped 180 degrees and started attacking their ally Hizballa leading the country down a path of conflict.

General Aoun signed a 10 point Agreement of Understanding with Hizballa earlier this year stating up front he wanted them to disarm and Hizballa signed on it!!

Yet somehow the people that were calling Aoun a zionist for wanting syria out and Lebanon free; are the same people calling syrian-iranian for wanting to prevent an escalation in the country so its people can live in peace.

Pity the nation!
