If Things Don't Improve, Yanks Must Reconsider Future

The Yankees have a few players in their system and on their bench who could help them right now. Let's start with Brett Gardner in center field and batting lead-off, then insert Shelly Duncan in right and move Melky Cabrera to left. Now you have a younger faster and better defensive outfield than we do now and we have some speed and power to help on the offensive side. Then bring up Aaron Jackson in September and put him in Leftfield and make Melky our fourth outfielder where he belongs. Trade Johnny Damon and Bobby Abreu and release Jason Giambi and make Matsui our DH.
