'Endangered' Is Designation as Lower East Side Waxes

Not to disparage Mr. Moss's scholarship or expertise, but he has a knee-jerk negative reaction to landmark designation. If you look at his appearances in the press, you will find an unbroken string of anti-landmarks statements. As a professional preservation activist, I might be accused of a similar bias. However, I am always identified as a preservationist, whereas Mr. Moss has the cloak of his urban planning role to conceal his leanings. I am not accusing Mr. Moss of any duplicity or falsehoods, I am simply stating that, in fairness, he should be identified as someone who is categorically not in favor of landmark designation.
