I am shocked and hurt to find out that the Sons of the Revolution will not be able to hold their traditional parade down Broadway this year. Why on earth can't the NYPD and the city come to senses and realize the important significance of this event? None of us would be here if the Revolutionary soldiers had not paid the supreme sacrifice so that we can pursue the democratic ideals that they fought for. I do hope that the NYPD and the Mayor will find some way to rectify this damaging issue. If the Sons of the Revolution are denied permission to hold their parade it will leave a lasting negative mark on all of those responsible for damaging the image and reputation of the Sons of the Revolution.
