Judge Rules for City on Search for September 11 Victim Remains

I see the city is not denying that there are some remains within the debris, how could they when we know they are there. We were one of the search and rescue teams that worked at Ground Zero. When we attended memorial services in 2002 and 2003 our K9 constantly indicated there was still remains all around the area of the WTC site. Our concerns were quickly dismissed by the city when we mentioned it to them. Later you will remember they found bones atop of buildings around the site, under the new road, and more. Its hard to get a big city to listen, more so NYC. If the city does not want to fund the search why not ask for volunteer teams to spend some time going through the material? I know the members of our team would donate some of their time as I am sure members of other teams would do the same. If we were to locate even a couple more remains that have yet to be identified that is closure for one more family, it is well worth our time. We volunteered our time to work at Ground Zero and working at Fresh Kills Landfill would be much safer than what we have been through before in NYC and New Orleans. John - K9 Task Force
