Ms. Veto is being patently disingenuine; the reason why it hasn't passed is because the Postal Service and the DMA aggressively lobby any state that tries to pass it. An overwhelming majority of people do want this bill to pass! Junk mail may not interrupt my dinner, but it does cause my legitimate mail to get lost, does waste my time in sorting through all of it, and does put the disposal burden on me. It's time to implement a DNM law... after all, if people are so eager to accept your ads, then nobody will sign up, right?
