Actress Mia Farrow Seeks To Cast Pall Over Olympics

Mia Farrow today, is like the much younger Jane Fonda of the 60s and 70s, confusing one vitally important situation with an absolutely different one. Yes Darfur is an abominable tragedy — along with similar ongoing situations in the Sudan and Rwanda — but trying to sabotage an emerging democratic movement in China by, for all practical purposes, blaming China for Darfur does no one, including the victims in Darfur, any good. The entire world shares in the blame for Darfur, not just China. I would be willing to wager that Miss Farrow is violently anti-Bush and anti-Iraq War, but what is going on there is exactly what should be going on in Darfur, and anywhere else that an evil dictator butchers populations. Miss Farrow, along with her legions of fellow Hollywood foreign policy experts/extreme liberals, love to jump on the bandwagon of an issue that cannot be dealt with directly and meaningfully; that gives them an open-ended pulpit from which to blast the easiest target, without supporting any substantive action — sort of like the movies.

There's so much "information" out there, important facts are often obscured in the sheer volume of words. Thank you Mia.... [MORE]
