I'd like to hear the police officer's side of the story before passing judgment. The general public might be very surprised to know just how dangerous and out-of-control a 10-year-old child can be these days. I know, I taught for 25 years. I never condone physical abuse but too many parents argue with the staff when their child is disciplined or restrained in any way, no matter how appropriate. It's typically not long before they're arguing with a judge.
