This recent influx owes some "props" to a much earlier arrivals from the Big Apple who did much to introduce Atlanta to some really fine things in life never experienced down here before.Check out sound file #3, "The New Yorkers are coming! the New Yorkers are coming!" from 1986 at the free broadcast archival site
