I don't believe that reparations would help anyone on either side of the racial divide. Many white people would feel even more convinced that it was the wrong thing to do and blame black people. On the other hand, there is no guarantee that reparations would erase ill feelings toward white people on the part of black people. The only answer is dialogue.
