Thanks Elizabeth Whelan for this great article. I only wish you'd included the big "vitamin E is going to end the world by bringing on mortality to everyone and by all causes" which was published in 2004 by Miller! That was by far the most absurd scare of all. I've yet to see one death attributed to vitamin E!
In response to the previous comments, and as a registered dietitian and health educator, the question should not be whether or not to believe Elizabeth's claims. Instead we should evaluate the content of her article in context of the big picture. In my opinion, it's true. Americans are becoming paralyzed with fear over things that are not realistically a threat to them. Instead we should spend more time enjoying life and doing things which promote our health.
