Kitchen Dish: Allegretti, Vintage Irving, and a new Yorganic

So I saw this place listed in NY Times and I live about 5 blocks away and was in the mood to try something new. When I arrived almost all of the tables were full so I seated myself along with my friend. At first I thought maybe I should have waited but I did not see a host, The astetics of the place is inviting so maybe subconsciencly i seated myself. I was greeted by probably the friendliest guy I ever met in a restaurant in my life. He made us feel welcome and relax we did with a cocktail he reccommended with the alchohol absinthe (this is the stuff Van Gogh drank when he cut off his ear) it was really nice with sugar and brazillian rum. The music they were playing was enjoyable some kind of experimental rock and at a good level.

Zack asked us what we were in the mood for while he handed us the menus and before we could answer he had a server bring us some kind meat and cheese plate (on the house) it wasn't much but all of a sudden I felt like I was a regular and I was visiting my college buddy. We settled on lobster bisque which looked like a cappucino with steamed milk (to die for) rice balls, octopus, Homemade Potato Gnocchi. Everything was very good. We had jelly doughnuts for dessert. I think with tip our bill was under $60. I am happy to give this place a positive review. Thank you Vintage Irving we will be back
