Thanks for these observations! Very true. I wish all the media hype would also focus on the resources available to the straight men and women who discover that they are in a McGreevey style mixed orientation marriage. Unlike McGreevey, my ex never came out -- and insists he is not gay. The whole process of surviving this and rebuilding your self and your family life is a much more fascinating story, but not nearly so funny! These guys lie to themselves, and when they can't get away with lying to others anymore, they persist in lying to themselves, and it is very rough on their families. Glad I am out of my ex husband's cramped, dark, and stuffy closet!
