Iraq's Yellowcake

Let me see if I have this straight. The uranium was known to be there by the IAEA prior to the "war" OIF, but it has taken our military six years to find it and you think this proves something about WMD? If, as you say, the IAEA knew about the yellowcake uranium as far back as you say, then why didn't we ask them where it was? Your comment on how Iraq doesn't "need" nuclear power is just silly.

Unless you can show me concrete evidence that the uranium was being used to develop weapons grade uranium, then to assert that yellowcake that we have known about for at least a decade, and which we apparently left completely at the disposal of the current government shows only that either our "allies" in Iraq don't trust us, we paid no attention to the reports of the IAEA, or we were woefully inept at locating this known of amount of uranium.

None of these fits into the pre-war statements to the effect that we know they have WMD and we know where the WMD are. I'm not convinced by your opinion piece, and I hope thoughtful citizens of our great nation will see through your attempt to drum up evidence where none exists.
