N.Y. Fares Well Vs. London in a New Study

Have the people who do these studies actually been in London and New York? I'm from New York and I live in a suburb of London now. I would say that there's no competition whatsoever. London is in every way vastly inferior to New York and just about every English person who I meet feels the same way. For a "wealthy" city, London has absolutely no shopping - aside from the ridiculous prices there is no selection and the merchandise for the most part is shoddy. New York actually gives something back. There's a dedicated parks department just trying to make people have fun. There are all kinds of free things going on all the time. People of different races and social classes interact constantly. The vibe is just so much happier. Compare Grand Central to Waterloo. Grand Central is fantastic. The suburban trains in London often close down for a whole weekend. If you don't have a chance to get your ticket and the train's coming in New York you just pay a few dollars more on the train. On the Surrey train, you get a fine of hundreds of pounds. The British state just holds you upside down by the ankles and tries to shake every pence from you.
