Once again Mr. Obama shows his willingness to pander to whatever audience he happens to be addressing at the moment. And, how hypocritical is it for him to accuse "others" of lying about his record; when he is lying about it himself !! Unfortunately this lack of credulity is exposing a serious flaw in his character. Mr. Obama regularly "nuances" his positions on important issues in order to appeal to his immediate audience. Indeed, on several subjects, from Rev. Wright and FISA to the conflict in Georgia, those who pay attention have actually watched the "evolution" of his positions; the different permutations spanning several news cycles. I would suggest that this is due to a clear lack of any resolute stances on any issue, save for his dedication to getting himself elected.

That he is willing to say or do whatever it takes to serve his immediate purpose should concern all Americans; we need a leader to have the vision to take our nation in a direction that serves our long term interests. And, while sometimes it's necessary to address short term needs as well, it should be considered based on the needs of individuals; and not for the political expedience of any politician. Mr. Obama portrayed himself as a post-racial, post-partisan, "new" kind of politician. He's already been exposed as perhaps the most partisan of pols, both in the Illinois and US senate. And, regrettably, he has already demonstrated his willingness to "play the race card" whenever he needs a distraction or to simply gain points over an opponent; his campaign used it on Hillary in the primaries, and they tried, unsuccessfully, to use it on Maverick. As of late he has demonstrated his willingness to go after the big, PAC, money from the unions, business and fat-cat donors; yet another hypocritical resort to a device he accuses opponents of availing of! And, need I mention opting out of public financing? And now, he's caught-yet again-openly lying in an attempt to falsely sway pro-life voters. It seems that the "new" politics of Mr. Obama is simply the same old politics, with a more charismatic face and more appealing speeches.
