Tenors in Training: The Next Generation

Submitted by ariel, Aug 18, 2008 12:18

Europe has many wonderful singers that do not grace the stage of the Met. Two arriving this season are Poles who could give the Met a lesson in singing artistry as well as beauty of voice (something beyond the 3 tenors). One is Beczala the tenor and the great Podles now in the autumn of her career. We don't lack in tenors, we lack artists who also sing. The last artist the Met had was Vickers from Canada.
