Push To Limit Parking May Slow Development

Every neighborhood in the city wants less congestion and yet everyone wants a parking space. You can't have both. New York is simply too dense for everyone to be able to drive. Even though an apartment may be more valuable with a parking spot, everybody else suffers when more people drive. If you live in Canarsie or Whitestone, you should find yourself a parking spot. If you live in Park Slope or Jackson Heights or Harlem, it's better if you make do without. Driving is a privilege that negatively affects everyone around you. When will we realize that?
