Who said it took 6 years to find it? Just because you know where something is doesn't mean that you can just run in and take it away. I think removing this material took a long time because something had to be worked out with the Iraqi government, and it had to be done covertly so that insurgents (terrorists) could not interfere. I think when we leave Iraq, Iran will be pouring more resources into it, and we may have a neutral or unfriendly regime in Iraq again, and I don't want them to have nuclear capabilities. It only takes one generation for things to be forgotten.
