College Presidents Want Lower Drinking Age

Submitted by Walter F. WOuk, Aug 19, 2008 10:34

There is no evidence to support Mothers Against Drunk Driving's claim that allowing 18, 19 and 20-year old adults to legally consume alcohol will result in more fatal car crashes. The fact is most traffic fatalities don't involve any alcohol at all. The majority of alcohol-related traffic deaths occur when other important causal factors are present, such as using a cell phone, fatigue, inexperience in driving, road rage, speeding, poorly lit roads, and failure to use safety belts.
