Okay, I am also a state employee and just received a 3% pay increase and was without a contract since 2007. I will also continue to receive a 3% increase for the next 2 years. My husband is a trooper and each and every day he puts his life at risk to save someone elses. Each day he leaves his 3 children and myself to make the place we live safer. Who will you call when someone breaks into your home, runs you off the road, kills your loved one or finds your lost child? Who will be there to talk a sucidial person down, scoop a body from a roadside or arrests those who cause harm to your loved one? In my opinion there is no amount you can place on that type of work. By the way there is no quota!
