2009 Yankees May Look A Lot Like 2008 Yankees

1. Re sign one of either Pettite or Mussina for short term deals, and get a stud, e.i. C.C. Sabathia or Ben Sheets. While there are better pitchers out there, I think signing a free agent will allow them to maintain their farm system for other moves. 2. Replace Bobby Abreu's bat by signing Holiday. 3. Matsui/Ian Kennedy/Robertson/2nd round Draft pick for Lance Berkman. The yankees will then look like: OF: Nady, Damon, & Holiday IF: A-rod, Jeter, Cano, Berkman Catcher: Molina/Posada DH: Posada Starters: Wang, Sabathia, Joba, Pettite or Mussina, Hughes 4. Getting Sabathia, Holiday and Berkam (or a top notch 1st baseman) will be offset by letting go of Abreu, Giambi, Matsui and either Muss or Pettite.
