In response to the comment below, what do you think we've been doing? Have we bombed Iran yet? Have we bombed Russia yet for its actions in Georgia? A ton of worthless diplomacy has been spent on those places (Iran, Syria, Russia, Sudan) to zero effect. The bottom line is that the world is divided into three. Those who are for us, those who are against us, and those who are neutral. You will never convince those who are against us to change their policy unless they pay a price (political, economic, or military) for their crimes. Countries like Iran and Venezuela will never be our friends unless we become more like them. And that is a price no one is willing to pay.
