A New Architecture of Justice Rises in the Bronx

Submitted by Ronnette Riley, FAIA, Jan 3, 2007 23:02

The new Bronx criminal court complex, referred to as the Bronx Hall of Justice was a 13 year product of a team of Architects and consultants. It is misleading to mention only Rafael Vinoly and not give credit, at least, to the lead joint venture firm of Rafael Vinoly Architects/DMJM Architects & Engineers. That said, the story does draw attention to this very special building that so many of us had the opportunity to work on and is worth a visit, enforced or otherwise.
