I always laugh when I read about the Democrat Party, our enforcers of free speech and the free exchange of ideas. Except of course, within the party and their convention or the primaries. Billy Boywonder says something that upsets the sensibilities of party members in a party not known for sensibility and he is reviled by those members. He dared to say something against the party's rigid dogma. Now the entire party is up in arms against their former fearless leader. How could he have fallen so far out of grace so quickly? So much for freedom of speech, or the free exchange of ideas when you can't speak your mind or opinions within the context of the party. And they say the Republicans are crushing our rights. In the Democrat Party you have no right to say anything against the standard nonsensical dogma they seem to spew out regularly (global warming, go green, no drilling, rob the rich and give to the poor, abortion on demand, windfall profits tax, support the teachers union so our kids won't learn to read and will become Democrats cause they won't know any better). They are the ones we should fear when it comes to crushing our civil rights if even party members are not allowed to disagree or question their party's positions. My biggest fear, being a Connecticut resident, is that Billy Boywonder will be banished from the party, along with his wife, and will be forced to take up residence with Joe Lieberman in his secure compound he calls home in Connecticut. We need Joe, we don't need the other two!
