Prospect Park Is Now Eyed for Ban on Cars

Submitted by Philip Vitale, Aug 26, 2008 16:52

As a senior citizen I guess I wouldn't mind if the park was car free but the fact is that the cars are only there for 2 hrs on the east side in the AMs and 2 hours on the west side in PM only Monday to Friday and I can live with that. The problem I find is trying to ride my bike after rush hour while the lunatic bike racers go round and round all morning long till at least noon. They scream at me or they abuse me in some way. I try to stay out of their way but I'm slow. And I'm not the only one. You take your life in your hands trying to cross the road by the lake. Instead of worrying about the cars do something about regulating the bike racers.
