A resounding NO! to all who would thwart the will of the people who clearly voted FOR term-limits in 1993 and, then again, in 1996. Council President Quinn said last year: "I believe that overruling the will of New Yorkers . . . would be anti-democratic and anti-reform." New Yorkers do not want 4 more years of the billionaire mayor Bloomberg -- except for his billionaire cronies to whom he has been very, very! good - at the expense of the rest of us, I might add. The only reason Bloomie decided to give raises to the NYPD (raises they deserved years ago) is to mitigate their attacks against him as he pushes to do what leaders of undemocratic 3rd world countries have done for years - decide to cling to power justifying that no one else could possibly keep stability and reform - — even as he is using his cronies to do reconnaissance for him. Patterson's fawning comments is just an attempt to do a pre-emptive maneuver to prevent Bloomberg from running against him. The City Council has already shown how vulnerable members are to the threats and bribes of Bloomberg's deep pockets by how most folded during the mayor's awful congestion pricing project. The sooner Bloomberg is out of office - the better — for the people (albeit not for his crony developer friends with deep pockets.) Sincerely, Pat
