"As a halting example of gnomic conceptualism..." Oh please! Whatever happened to 'painting and sculpture? Draftsmanship? All of this post Existentalistic malarky belongs in the dustbin of atheistic/ahumanistic waste that the post WW II era has dumped in liberals laps courtesy of Dr. Freud & Co. Too much caffeen and not enough conoisseurship. Quit the cafes and back to basics. Reviewers like Mr. Ribas have to drop names like Cezanne and Picasso in reviews of this tripe just to give it an edge of credibility. Yes, Raphael once drew a perfect circle in response to a customer's request for a sample of his work, but he didn't hang his hat on it as an 'achievement.' Ever since Duchamp hung up that accursed urinal both God and man has gone out the window. Art isn't exclusively an intellectual exercise, it is a conversation between men. Let's get back to that conversation!
