Responding to Energy Myths

Dear Mr. Stossel---Energy independence may indeed be an un-achieveable object, but if domestic production were to increase substantially it might very well drive down the global market. Any exploration or development that is made practicable and proftitable by the current rise of oil in the global market should be pursued by domestic investors, and the government should not be standing in the way. I've read your opinions long enough to know that you know howit's supposed to work. Don't you stand in the way either.
