Once again, we have people blaming bush for everything that is wrong with the country, remember a couple of things happened along the way that really hurt the economy, 9/11 and the tech bubble of 2000. In spite of these crippling events, we still managed to grow the economy. Also part of the Clinton surplus was a direct response to him a.) having a republican congress that reigned in spending and b.) he gutted the military.

Granted, once the republicans took over, they started spending like it was going out of style which put us in the mess in the first place. Our solution is not to spend more like Obama wants to do but to spend less. We need less govt. and less money/power going to Washington. They have proven time and time again that they cannot be trusted with the best interests of the American people. This includes both sides of the aisle. All I will say is this — be careful for what you ask for because you might just get it. The Dems have been moaning for 8+ years with their hatred and spite, now it will be their time to lead, sadly I really doubt they are up to the task.
