City Smiles as Cool Crowds Out 'Bermuda High'

Lucky for New York. here in the northwest we are having weather that elicited this brief poem the other day: "We are having April in August, it's been a very Aprilly year all the way. April in May, half of June was Aprilly. And April did come over and over again in April. [There's that famous Elliott line "April is the cruelest month," that now platitude, which I think is famous because it is puzzling; after all, there is February which in northern climes is the nastiest, you're sick of winter, it's got to you, your bone marrow.] April is that tease that blows hot and cold. And so now is August. Different kind of "dog days" for sure! Dry out that mutt by the fireplace, dry out that living rug that won't be huggable again for another nine months at least."
