I could not agree more. What after all is the big deal in proving that you are a fraction of a second better than someone else? It almost borders on mania. As a new immigrant to Israel (from the US, where I have witnessed plenty of Olympic mania over the years) I am most proud of my two sons for their wonderful characters, and their nothing to sneeze at MIT & Caltech degrees. Now THAT is an olympic feat to brag about!
