Dr. Al-Arian's treatment by the Justice Department is outrageous, unethical and clearly immoral. It calls the entire process into question. Our Christian faith requires us to stand with those who are oppressed, whoever they are. Dr. Al-Arian is undoubtedly being oppressed by the US government.
