Teddy Kollek symbolized Yerushalyim to many of us. We were totally accustomed to him as the mayor, and it was difficult to get used to the idea that someone else - Ehud Olmert - had taken his place at the end of the '80's. Through all that he achieved, and through all that he wasn't able to achieve, we will remember Teddy Kollek for the good. He was a man of the people who strove to be the kind of leader that Yerushalyim needed, but he never forgot who he was or for whom he carried out his duties. He was a bit like a folk hero, and he will be remembered among the greats.
