I am not a Jew for Jesus and I do not believe that the messiah has come. However the notion that a Jew can't believe that Jesus was the messiah is ridiculous. The belief in Jesus as messiah is certainly outside mainstream Judaic thought but all it takes to be Jewish is a Jewish mother or a real conversion. The followers of Jesus were clearly Jews and participated in anti-Roman revolts along with their fellow Jews. Jews have believed in other would be messiahs before like Sabbotai Zevi and others but they were still Jews. I do not believe in Jesus because this world to me is clearly not a post-messiah one. Nobody owns Judaism. I welcome Jews who believe in Jesus as Jews and have enjoyed talking with them and debating frequently.
